When you look in the mirror, you may not see it but you project a sign that others can see even if you cannot.

I heard an old story, many years ago which was probably from a series of motivational sales tapes that I used to keep a positive attitude in the face of some rejection. If someone ever tells you it is not personal but just business, check your wallet. You do not have to be paranoid to realize that everything is personal.

A very successful Motivational Speaker looks out his window one day and sees a 11 or 12 year old boy coming up the walkway to his house with a bunch of magazines in his hands.

He turns to his wife and says "Watch this, this kid thinks he is going to sell me magazines. I teach these people how to sell things and I know every trick in the book. I'll get rid of him pretty quick".

The kid knocks on the door, and the old guy opens the door. The kid look up and says, "Excuse me sir is this where Bobby Tony lives?"

The old man replies, "Yes it is kid, what do you want, I have an appointment and I am late and I already have all the magazines I need so be on your way."

The kid pauses, then looks up again and says "Did you say this was where THE Bobby Tony lives"?.

The old man says, "Come on in son, what are your selling"?.

Bobby Tony has more magazines than he will ever read. His sign was "Make me feel Important". Maybe you know what your sign is, but if not, ask a kid.
