Shelby M. Beacham | Eastern NC Now

    Shelby Mizelle Beacham, age 79, a resident of Washington, died Thursday, September 10, 2015.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Wesleyan Pentecostal Church in Washington officiated by Brother Daniel Woods. Burial will follow at the Snowd Branch Cemetery.

    The following will serve as pallbearers: Garyn Mizelle, Benny Mizelle, Joel Mizelle, Franklin Wynne, Jonathan Barnes and Andrew Lapp.

    Mrs. Beacham was born in Beaufort County on April 14, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Nathan Mizelle and Gertie Viola Cratt. Mrs. Beacham retired from Stanadyne. She married Howard Kenneth Beacham on December 5, 1958; he preceded her in death in 1986. She was a member of Wesleyan Pentecostal Church for many years.

    Mrs. Beacham is survived by a son: Kenneth Beacham and wife, Kimberly; and a daughter: Lisa Beacham of VA: two grandchildren: Sherry Baugher and Jami Anderson and her husband John; her great grandchild: Agnes Anderson; a brother: Jim Mizelle and wife, Shelby; a sister in law: Betty Mizelle.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Beacham was preceded in death by three brothers: C.B. Mizelle, Heber Mizelle and Marvin Mizelle; a sister: Mary Jennette.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
