Daniel W. Mac Donald | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Daniel William "Dan" Mac Donald, age 76, a resident of 103 York Ct., Chocowinity, NC died Saturday October 3, 2015 at his home.

    A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday October 10, 2015 at the Bay Club in the Cypress Landing community of Chocowinity.

    Mr. Dan was born in Camden, NJ on June 28, 1939 son of the late Norman Edward Mac Donald and the late Florence Theresa Taylor Mac Donald. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and on August 15, 1971 married the former Wendy Mae Hart who survives. Mr. Dan was a principal engineer and retired from Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY.

    Surviving along with his wife Wendy of the home is a son: Barry John Mac Donald of Conway, SC; a daughter: Gayle Lynn Millspaugh (Todd) of Mooresville, NC; a brother: Norman E. Mac Donald Jr. (Eleanor) of Lynchburg, VA; a sister: Patricia M. Straub of Long Neck, DE; three grandchildren: Sarah Kathryn Ramsey, Johnathan Michael Ramsey and Cassie Lee Mac Donald; three great grandchildren: Riley Downey, Phoenix Harris and Blake Paulson and several nieces and nephews.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Little Washington Sailing School, P.O. Box 1865, Washington, NC 27889 or to a charity of one's choice.
