Short legislative session featured reforms, set stage for freedom-focused policies in 2017

Even though N.C. legislators left Raleigh on July 1, much earlier than in recent memory, the General Assembly had enough time to enact positive policy reforms.

Becki Gray, the John Locke Foundation's vice president for outreach, used a speech Monday to the John Locke Foundation's Shaftesbury Society to highlight those reforms. Gray also identified issues that are likely to face further discussion in 2017.

In the video clip above, Gray discusses a positive change in the General Assembly's approach to public school teacher pay. Click here to access video of the full presentation.
