Clark Named New Principal at Northside High School | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Charles Clark, currently principal of Northeast Elementary School in Pinetown, has been named the new principal of Northside High School. The announcement was made to Northside staff Monday afternoon. Earlier in his career, Clark taught math at Northside High School. He will take over duties at Northside on Monday, November 14.Until then, he will be working between Northeast and Northside.

    "Mr. Clark hasspent his entire career serving the students of Beaufort County," according to Dr. Don Phipps, superintendent of Beaufort County Schools. "His professional experience and knowledge of the community will be a benefit to everyoneinvolved." Clark, a graduate of Washington High School and UNC Charlotte, joined Beaufort County Schools ASA math teacher at Chocowinity High School in 1997. He moved to Northside High School in 2000. He began his administrative career as an assistant principal at P.S. Jones Middle School from 2002 to 2004. Clark became principal atChocowinity Middle School in 2004. He served a stint as Federal ProgramsDirector for Beaufort County Schools before becoming principal at Northeast Elementary School in 2007. Clark holds a Master's Advanced degree from East Carolina University.

    Now that the principal has been named, Clark will be a part of the process to hire a newassistant principal for Northside High School.
