Threats to free speech on college campuses



    Attacks on free speech have cropped up on college campuses across the country in recent years. At the same time, official campus speech codes have been disappearing.

    Robert Shibley, executive director of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, offered a progress report on free-speech issues during a speech Monday to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
