Mrs. Martha Civils Woolard | Eastern NC Now

   Mrs. Martha Civils Woolard, age 68, a resident of 1060 E. Seventh St., Washington, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.

    The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at the home of her daughter, Teresa Braddy, 3739 Gallberry Road, Washington.

    Mrs. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 16, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Alex Nathan Civils and Lenora Letchworth Civils. Mrs. Woolard worked as a private duty nurse. She was known for her love of pets. She was married to Fenner L. Woolard, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2008.

    Mrs. Woolard is survived by her children, Kenneth "Beaver" Woolard of Washington; Teresa Braddy and husband Paul of Washington, Sonya Massey of Washington; Carla Paschall and husband Ray of Chocowinity; two sisters, Rosa Ormond of Stokes, Sue Paul of Spivey's Corner; eight grandchildren, Larry "Bear" Braddy, Heather Perkins, Eric Woolard, Michael Tyson, Tori Paschall, William Tyson, Anthony Tyson, Allen Paschall and eight great-grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Woolard was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Civils.
