    Mr. Edward Lee Modlin, age 62, a resident of 1518 Yeatesville Road, Bath died Sunday evening July 30, 2017 at his home.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday August 3, 2017 at the Modlin Family Cemetery officiated by Pastor Chris Humphreys. David Burbage, Michael Smith, Hilton Waters, Kirby Phelps, Bob Cordon and Fred Smith, IV will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Modlin was born in Beaufort County on August 18, 1954, son of the late Hunter and Katherine Harris Modlin. On February 16, 1986, he married the former Catherine Hardy who survives. Mr. Modlin was a self-employed welder, fabricator and owner/operator of Triple M Welding. He loved to fish, hunt and paint cars.

    In addition to his wife, Catherine of the home, he is survived by his daughter: Brooke Leigh Modlin of the home and her significant other Joshua Ross and his granddaughter: Aubrey Lee Moss (AKA "Taterbug"). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: James Philbert Hardy and Joyce Hardy.

    The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
