Local Author's Book Huge Success Among Area Residents | Eastern North Carolina Now

News Release:

Hi, I’m Donna Lay, the author of historical fiction and true crime. I have written several books as a ghost writer and have started publishing my own books. I have published two books, ERA! and my latest is From Blackbeard To The Revolution a historical fiction written about the famous pirate Blackbeard, and Bath County, now known as Beaufort County.

From Blackbeard To The Revolution, is a historical fictional novel that is not written in the traditional manor as historical fiction goes. The pages are filled with entertaining character wit and dialogue giving it spice, and peppered with historical facts. As you read it, I hope you as thrilled with the story as I was to write it. To learn more about my upcoming books, visit my website: authordalay.com.

I will post excerpts from the book from time to time for you to enjoy. Read below what some of my readers had to say about the book.

   Love Donna

"D. A. Lay's book, From Black Beard To The Revolution, tells the story of the early days of  Bath County, and those who helped to influence its history. A wonderful read written in a way that is entertaining and educational." -    Roberta E.

"As a lover of genealogy, history and good yarn, this book met all those needs. D. A. Lay has done a tremendous job in combining fiction with history and capturing the history and people of that area and time. I was drawn in and could not put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fiction and enjoys the history of Eastern North Carolina. A great read."     - Marilyn Smith
