Our Entire Congress Is Going To Iraq Today | Eastern NC Now

Iraq needs help in spending a Budget Surplus and our Congress knows how to do just that.

This Blog Posting is almost 10 years old but it is still as valid today as it was when it was first published because...
    •It is still funny.
•Our Congress is still hovering around the 9% Approval Rate.
•It again demonstrates that our Congress is still very skilled when it comes to spending our money.

Putting your expertise to work for the common good.

The government of Iraq has a financial crisis. This is a problem tailor-made for our 9% Approval Rating Congress. According to the Associated Press, "Iraq could finish the year with as much as a $79,000,000,000 cumulative surplus because of oil revenues and unspent funds from previous budgets".

Our congressional guys and gals know where they are needed and, as always, they are ready to surge to the forefront and help out where they can do the most good.

As I see it, this emergency trip has two benefits for the American People...
•They will help out a Fledgling Democracy take root in the Middle East.
•They will not be doing any more damage to our Well-Established Struggling Democracy here in the United States for a while.

To make sure that the wheels of progress do not grind to a halt in the halls of congress, the Congressional Pages and Interns have closed ranks to rename Post Offices while Congress is overseas.

Today is Sunday. Due to the fact that the target spending objective is only $79 Million we can expect that Congress to be back in Washington, D.C. by this coming Thursday afternoon in time for Happy Hour and just in time for them to take the weekend off.

    Would I kid u?
