Bath Physician Named President-Elect of State Association of Family Physicians | Eastern NC Now

Jessica L. Triche, MD, a family physician from Bath, N.C., was installed as President-Elect of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, Inc. (NCAFP) on Friday, December 6, in Asheville.

    ASHEVILLE (12-07-19)     Jessica L. Triche, MD, a family physician from Bath, N.C., was installed as President-Elect of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, Inc. (NCAFP) on Friday, December 6, in Asheville. Dr. Triche currently serves patients at Vidant Family Medicine-Chocowinity and will be serving a one-year term.

    Dr. Triche attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate students and graduated medical school from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She completed her residency in family medicine at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC, where she served as co-chief resident.

    Dr. Triche enjoys seeing a variety of patients as well as teaching medical students. She is a graduate of both the Vidant's Physician Leadership Institute as well as the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation's Leadership College and completed their Health care Leadership and Management (HCLM) Program in 2018. Dr. Triche is currently involved in a number of leadership roles within the Vidant system. She lives in Bath with her husband and two sons.

    More than 800 family physicians, family medicine residents and medical students attended the NCAFP's Annual Meeting at The Omni Grove Park Inn. The NCAFP is the largest specialty medical association in North Carolina with over 4,200 members.
