    Mr. Arthur Godfrey Penhollow, age 83, a resident of 900 Mouth of the Creek Road, Blounts Creek, NC died Saturday January 18, 2020 at his home.

    A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday January 26, 2020 at his home.

    Mr. Penhollow was born in Dubuque County, IA on March 26, 1936 son of the late Harry John Penhollow and the late Evelyn Mae Ashbee Penhollow. On November 17, 1973 he married the former Linda Marie Tharp who survives. He was owner and operator of A.C.C., Inc which specialized in roofing. In 2018 he retired due to his health. Mr. Penhollow was a member of First United Methodist Church of Washington. He loved animals, fishing watching football especially the ECU Pirates and Green Bay Packers and was devoted to the Pam Pack Wrestling Team.

    Surviving along with his wife Linda of the home are four sons: Michael Hawthorne (Tony) of Phoenix AZ, Timothy Penhollow (Cheri) of Mebane, Christopher Penhollow (Susan) of Greenville and Scott Penhollow of Blounts Creek; five daughters: Carrie Lederman (Steve) of Winfield IL, Tracy Mueller (Kevin) of Dubuque, IA, Tonia Mayerle (Joe) of Tucson, AZ, Jennifer Pierce (Zack) of Raleigh and Ardith Moore (Rex) of Pink Hill; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Penhollow was predeceased along with his parents by a son: Robert Penhollow; four brothers: Arnold, Gilbert, Gerald and Walter Penhollow and two sisters: Thursa Hatch and Leta Gildard.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Relay for Life of Beaufort County, Attn: Memorials, P.O. Box 2708, Washington, NC 27889.
