It is with great sadness that Harry Beard Cannon III of Elizabeth City, NC passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2020.

He is survived by his immediate family-his wife, Tina Cannon of Elizabeth City, NC, his daughters, Jordan Cannon Rimarski of Bath, NC and Taylor Cannon Bradbury of Charlotte, NC. He adored his two son-in-laws, David Rimarski and Lamar Bradbury, and his newest love was his granddaughter, Kennedy Corrigan Rimarski.

Harry had a love for any body of water, as he grew up in Florida and has lived near the water ever since. He was a decorated athlete and earned All-American accolades in high school, which afforded him the opportunity to swim at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He ended his swimming career at Olympic trials in Hawaii upon graduating.

He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Business from Chapel Hill and had a very successful career in Corporate America-becoming the VP of a Title Insurance company that served all 100 counties in NC. He ended his career in Corporate America to pursue entrepreneurship in the Mold Services industry.

He was a devoted husband and a loving father. His family was his entire world. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and boating. He was extremely intelligent and quite the historian. His heart beat for other people and he was actively involved in SOULS Ministry-a feeding ministry in Elizabeth City, NC.

The family has chosen to have a very small, private service due to the impacts of COVID-19. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Harry to SOULS Ministry. Donations can be made through Church of the Redeemer and sent to 207 Hwy 343 South, Camden, NC 27921.
