    Mr. Ellis Xyvon Ross, Jr. "Skeet", age 90, a resident of 1206 Hubs Rec. Rd. Belhaven, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home.

    Private graveside services will be held at Belhaven Community Cemetery and will be conducted by Rev. Chris Noble.

    Mr. Ross was born in Beaufort County on December 5, 1929 to the late Ellis X. Ross Sr. and Sina Frances Rice Ross. On June 27, 1953 he married Jane Penelope Kugler who preceded him in death on January 2, 1989. He then married Harriet Alice Respess who survives.

    Mr. Ross was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School, received a bachelor's degree in Business from Wake Forest University and was owner/operator of Ross Vending Co. He was a member of First Christian Church of Belhaven and attended Trinity United Methodist Church for 29 years. Mr. Ross served his country in the United States Army.

    Survivors include his wife of the home Harriet "Hatsy" Ross, three daughters, Jan Cordon and husband Tracy of Bath, Fran Crutchfield and husband Steve Keener of Nags Head, Betsy Buchanan and husband Howard of Kill Devil Hills, step son, Jay Grimes and wife Stephanie of Washington, grandchildren, Kain Ross and wife Laura Beth, Elise Manning and husband Walter, Selby Ross, Casey Cordon and husband Oliver Trueman, Ryan Cordon and wife Wei, Jamie and Katy Jane Crutchfield, Whitney Garcia and husband Ryan, Ellec Buchanan, Samuel, Olivia & William Grimes, ten great grandchildren and his companion Jack Russell, X. He was preceded in death by his son, Ellis X. Ross III "Skeeter" and his sister, Thora Morris.
