    Mr. David Terrell Boarts, age 84, a resident of Water Street, Washington died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

    Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.

    Mr. Boarts was born in Washington, D.C. on January 9, 1936. He was the son of the late William Boarts and Virginia Lee Goodrick Boarts. Mr. Boarts served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired long-distance truck driver. Mr. Boarts was a member of the First Christian Church in Washington. He was a Mason and enjoyed playing golf.

    On June 12, 2010, Mr. Boarts married Ruby Carol Paul Moore, who survives.

    Surviving with his wife are his son, William Boarts and wife, Michelle of Grover City, PA.; daughter, Beverly Boarts of Matthews, N.C.; three grandchildren, Alex, Meghan, Zachary; and sister, Lynda Shreve and husband, John of Sun City, S.C.
