    Mrs. Edna Paramore Arnold, age 86, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away Saturday October 17, 2020 at Ridgewood Manor.

    Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday October 21, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Rev. Ola Forbes Jr. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    Mrs. Arnold was born in Beaufort County on November 4, 1933 to the late Harry Lee and Bessie McRoy Paramore. She was a 1952 graduate of Chocowinity High School and went to East Carolina University from 1951 to 1952. On December 28, 1952 she married William Allen Arnold who survives. They had their 67th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2019. She worked for the Beaufort County Tax Assessor's Office for 30 years and retired in 1992.

    Survivors include her husband, William A. Arnold of the home; her son, Jerry Arnold and wife Gloria of Chocowinity and her sister, Shelby Mizelle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Paramore, Mason Stanley Paramore; three sisters, Becky Dawson, Mary Lilley, Elsie Ireland and a daughter and son who passed away at birth, Teresa and Bruce.

    The family would like to thank the staff at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville for their excellent care during Mrs. Arnold's visits. They would also like to express thanks to her caregivers, Hazel Moore, Neva Woolard, Cindy Jones and Maria Casiano.
