Mrs. Margaret Marie Short Foster | Eastern NC Now

   Mrs. Margaret Marie Short Foster, 79, a resident of 1028 Pamlico Beach Road West, Belhaven, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. Thursday at the home, 1028 Pamlico Beach Road West, Belhaven, conducted by the Rev. Medford Hopkins. The family will receive friends at the home.

   Mrs. Foster was born in Halifax County on Feb. 10, 1933, to the late Jimmie Earl Short and Ruby Marie Whitaker. On June 15, 1951, she married J.R. Foster, who survives. Mrs. Foster was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved gardening.

   In addition to her husband J.R. of the home, Mrs. Foster is survived by her children, Robert Carl Foster and his wife Sonja of Pamlico Beach, Jimmy Ray Foster of the home and Becky Jo Bell of the home; two brothers, Jimmie Earl Short Jr. of Enfield and Raymond Fountain of Leggetts; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

   In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foster is preceded in death by her grandsons Robert Christopher Foster and R.J. Gay. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Margaret Foster Memorial Fund, Post Office Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
