Ms. Willie Virginia Logan Edwards “Snoochie”, age 95, a resident of Autumnfield Rest Home in Belhaven, NC and formerly of Pungo Village in Belhaven died October 22, 2020 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    Ms. Willie Virginia Logan Edwards "Snoochie", age 95, a resident of Autumnfield Rest Home in Belhaven, NC and formerly of Pungo Village in Belhaven died October 22, 2020 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at West Belhaven Church of Christ, located at 1080 West Main Street, Belhaven, NC officiated by James Scheffler and Reggie Braziel. Burial will follow in Yeatesville Cemetery. Andy Cox, Caleb Cox, Thomas "T.J." Guthrie, Stephen Brinn, Jr., Brandon Brinn and Steven Van Der Have will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM prior to the service on Sunday at the church.

    Ms. Edwards was born in Surry, VA on March 3, 1925, daughter of the late Willie and Maude Stubbs Logan. She was married to the late William "Bill" Edwards of Belhaven. She was a member of West Belhaven Church of Christ. Ms. Edwards was known for her infectious smile, warm hugs, and loving personality. She was very dedicated to her family, an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. While she will be greatly missed, we know she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

    Surviving are her children, three daughters: Joyce Leffelman (Delbert) of Bath, Betty Ann Spencer (Allen) of Belhaven and Jenny Winfield of Washington and her friend, Steve Jackson of Virginia; her sisters: Cora Harrison of VA and Peggy Mizell of Plymouth; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: William "Billy" Logan and her sisters: Irene Sawyer and Mary Ann Hudnell.

    Flowers are welcomed and appreciated, and the family kindly asks for any memorial contributions be made to the Autumnfield Activity Department, 1345 Seed Tick Neck Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
