    Mrs. Elizabeth "Lib" Chauncey Eldridge of Belhaven passed away peacefully Friday, November 6 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday November 9, 2020 at Belhaven Community Cemetery.

    Mrs. Lib was born in Beaufort County on January 26, 1933 daughter to the late Modie Lafayette Chauncey and the late Beulah Brooks Chauncey. Mrs. Eldridge was a hard worker all of her life, a strong provider, and a proud mother. She served the Belhaven community for over 30 years as owner and operator of Lib's Hair Designs. Mrs. Eldridge was a devout Christian woman, and a member of West Belhaven Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all.

    She is survived by her children: Steve Carawan (Karen) of Belhaven; Ted Carawan (Darlene) of Belhaven; A sister: Inez King of Bandera, TX; Grandchildren: Heather Stuart of Knightdale; Shelley Hodges (Jake) of Fairfield; Daniel Carawan of Belhaven; Great Grandchildren: Stephen Stuart of Garner; Rex & Holly Hodges

    Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by her husband: Dale Eldridge; Two brothers: Donald and John "Bud" Chauncey; And a sister: Lucille Chauncey Evans
