Keith Kidwell Seated as Representative for 2021-22 Legislative Session | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Raleigh, NC     State Representative Keith Kidwell was officially sworn-in and seated on the House floor today to serve the people of House District 79, which includes Beaufort and Craven counties. This will be Rep. Kidwell's 2nd term in the North Carolina General Assembly.

    "I am looking forward to serving another term and serving the great people of the 79 th District." said Rep. Kidwell. "I will be protecting the rights and liberties of the 79 th district."

    The Opening Day Ceremony marked the official start of the 2021-22 legislative session. Legislators took the oath of office, agreed upon chamber rules for the session and elected leadership for each chamber. The legislature is scheduled to return on January 27th to begin the long session.
