    Mr. Richard Ebert Wilson, Jr., age 65, a resident of Riverview Drive, Chocowinity, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

    Mr. Wilson was born in Tarboro, N.C. on May 2, 1955. He was the son of Ann Matthews Wilson and the late Richard E. Wilson, Sr. Mr. Wilson was a supervisor at KABA ILCO in Rocky Mount for 46 years and HVAC instructor at Edgecombe and Nash Community Colleges. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and golfing.

    On February 26, 1994, Mr. Wilson married the former Vickie Bridges, who survives.

    Surviving with his wife are his mother, Ann M. Wilson of Tarboro; sister, Beverly W. Winstead (Allan) of Chocowinity; son, Richard E. Wilson III (April) of Nashville; step son, Travis Pope (Rachel) of Rocky Mount; step daughter, Amy Thompson (Obie) of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren, Krysta Wilson, Logan Thompson (Justin), Reid Thompson, Carmen Pope, Aiden Pope, Riley Pope, Laken Pope; special nieces, Leeann Whitley, Meredyth Winstead, Allyson Winstead; special nephews, Hunter Whitley, Craig Williams; and a very special loving companion, Lilley.

    In addition to his father, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by a sister, Ann W. Turner.
