For Immediate Release:

Around the country people are fighting the battle of the bulge and winning thanks to a new exercise concept called Boot Camp. When it comes to exercise, some folks find success by faithfully hitting the gym, while others don't want to set foot in a gym and would rather find their feet in the great outdoors. Boot Camp is the best of both worlds. You get the expert training and fun group dynamic of taking a class at the gym, along with the freedom and flexibility of diving into a good workout in the great outdoors. You’re signing up for a total body workout – a typical session can include interval training, sprint and agility drills, stations, plyometrics, body weight strength drills, cardio mix, and much more.

Now folks in Beaufort County can enjoy the benefits of a Boot Camp routine thanks to Tim Schuman, who launched IBX Boot Camp in June of this year. Tim is a Certified Personal Trainer with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science who enjoys competitive body building in his spare time. Mary VanLoon and Stanhope Deatherage are Schuman's co-instructors, ready to encourage the campers to keep moving week in and week out.

IBX Boot Camp workouts are held every morning at 5:30 am at the Washington Waterfront and are focused on exercises that don’t require machines. A group of about twenty people will work out together with a couple of trainers/coaches leading the way, and each ‘camp’ runs Monday to Friday for four weeks. Campers enjoy the challenge of a different workout every day, along with the fun dynamic of a group workout. But since the group size is small, they also get the personal attention of a trainer, encouraging every individual to go for it every day.

To celebrate the launch of the local camp, IBX Boot Camp is giving away a free month of Boot Camp to one lucky winner on a local blogger's website, www.carolinecollie.com. Entering is as simple as leaving a comment, answering the two questions mentioned in the blog post at http://www.carolinecollie.com/2012/08/a-get-out-there-giveaway-win-a-free-month-of-boot-camp/ and in addition to the lucky winner who'll get a full month free, the first fifty commenters will get to try Boot Camp for free for a week!
