Larry Hodges | Eastern NC Now

    Larry Thomas Hodges, age 58, a resident of Washington, NC died Monday September 13, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

    A small gathering of family and friends will be held 2:00 Sunday September 19, 2021 in Trinity Cemetery in Chocowinity.

    Mr. Hodges was born in Beaufort County on February 3, 1963 to James Ervin Hodges, Sr. and Shelby Taylor. He was a 1981 graduate of Washington High School. Mr. Hodges was a carpenter by trade and was one for over 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars in his younger years and loved NASCAR.

    Survivors include his two daughters, Courtney Hodges of Chocowinity, Danielle Hodges of Chocowinity, two grandchildren, Noah Hodges, Olivia Hodges, his mother, Shelby Taylor Hodges, two brothers, Marty Hodges and Sandy Godley of Washington, Gary Hodges and wife Sherry of Wilson, a sister, Teresa Shamburger and husband John of Washington.

    He is preceded in death by his father, James Ervin Hodges, Sr., and his brother, James "Jimmy" Hodges, Jr.
