James Soper | Eastern NC Now

    On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, James (Jimmy) L. Soper Jr, the son of the late James Soper Sr and Joyce Tucker, passed away at the age of 57. He was born October 8, 1963 in Washington DC.

    Jimmy spent his work career doing what he loved, finishing sheetrock and working with his hands.

    Jimmy's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved to sit around and talk and tell old stories. He watched and talked about all the "old" tv shows that he loved as a kid. He loved being outside at his smoker where he always had food cooking to share. His favorite place to be was on the water. He most enjoyed sitting in his chair on the beach under the sun.

    Jimmy will be most remembered for his love for his family, kids and grandkids and his willingness to always help when needed.

    Jimmy was preceded in death by his father James Sr. He is survived by his mom Joyce, wife Carol, his two children Heather and Jimmy III, his brother John, 6 grandchildren and family.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
