Christopher Carawan | Eastern NC Now

    Christopher Micheal Carawan, age 30, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Monday October 4, 2021 at his home.

    A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday October 10, 2021 at Edward Christian Church officiated by Pastor David Linton. Pallbearers will be Lajontae Green, Kevin Cayton, Kevin Pearsall, Brandon Peed, Jerome Stilley, Jesse White, Matt Walker, and Chandler Allen Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Kinnion, and Jimmy Cayton.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday October 9, 2021 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his sister, Kara Carawan, 640 John Drive, Aurora.

    Chris was born in Pitt County on December 10, 1990, son of the late Christopher Dean Carawan and Gerrie Lynn Walker Kinnion who survives. He was a 2010 graduate of Southside High School. Following high school, he entered the trucking field and worked with OBI Linings in Chocowinity and Trosa Moving Company in Raleigh. Chris had the natural ability for cutting people's hair and loved cleaning cars. He had attended Edward Christian Church.

    Surviving along with his mother: Gerrie L. Kinnion and stepfather: Edward Kinnion of Blounts Creek are his children: Charity My'Asia Carawan of Washington and Benjamin Johnson of Edward; brothers: Chandler Allen Parker of Blounts Creek and Ashton Cole Parker of New Bern; sisters: Kara Jessica Carawan of Aurora and Taylor Mae Akins of Palmetto, FL; maternal grandmother: Sue Walker of Covington, GA; and paternal grandfather: Paul Carawan of South Carolina.
