NRA endorses Dan Forest, candidate for Lt. Governor, with "A" grade | Eastern North Carolina Now

   (Raleigh, NC)     Dan Forest, Republican candidate for Lt. Governor, was graded "A" by the National Rifle Association (NRA), thus earning their endorsement in this race.*

   An "A" grade from the NRA says the candidate is solidly pro-Second Amendment, pro-gun. His rating is based solely on his responses to questions because he does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues.

   "As a defender of the US Constitution, I am grateful to the NRA for their "A" rating," said Forest, "I am a proud member of the NRA and share their commitment to defending the Second Amendment to bear arms."

   Forest's opponent, Democrat Linda Coleman, received a "C-minus" grade based on her voting record.

   The NRA defines itself as a non-partisan, single issue organization. Its grades and endorsements are not based on party affiliation.

    Dan Forest is the Republican nominee for the office of North Carolina Lt. Governor. He earned the Republican nomination by winning a commanding 96 of 100 NC counties in the second (July 17th) primary election after traveling over 150,000 miles and visiting nearly all 100 counties during the campaign. Dan is a leader in the business community having served as Office President and Senior Partner of the state's largest architectural firm. Dan is active in his community and church and is the founder and current president of the Triangle Leadership Forum and the former chairman of the board of Wake Forest Pregnancy Support Services. Dan and his wife, Alice, reside in Raleigh, along with their four children, ages 7 - 19.
