Backlash against Big Wind and Big Solar surged in 2021 | Eastern NC Now

local opposition to wind and solar brings project rejections

ENCNow

Opposition by local people to siting large wind and solar energy projects in their communities surged in 2021 with rejections by local governments in the United States  of 31 major wind turbine projects and 13 major solar panel projects.

Opposition is even stronger in Germany, where lawsuits get filed to stop them just about every time a wind project is proposed.  While a growing number of average citizens are filing those suits over issues like human health impairment from wind turbines and the visual blight they bring, the majority of them are being filed by environmentalists - real environmentalists who care about things like deforestation, loss of wildlife habitat, and the massive slaughter of birds and bats by wind turbines.

We are starting to see such lawsuits filed in the US to stop Big Wind.  Lawsuits to stop Big Wind have won successful results so far in the Supreme Courts of Ireland, Norway, and Australia.
