    Mrs. Faye O'Ham Toler, age 82, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Wednesday March 2, 2022, at her home while surrounded by family.

    A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 5, 2022, at Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Joel Cannon. Mask will be required to attend the service. A private burial will be held at the Toler Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Lewis, Jay Hamilton, Rob Harris, Mike Toler, Matthew Brown, Tristan Rowe, and Joshua Tippett.

    The family will receive friends 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.

    Mrs. Faye was born in Beaufort County on July 14, 1939, daughter of the late Kugler Earl O'Ham and the late Mary Ella Tyson O'Ham. She was a 1957 graduate of Aurora High School. On November 15, 1957, she married Dallas Walton Toler and they enjoyed sixty-six years together. She was a dedicated member of Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church where she also was a member of its Ladies Auxiliary. When her health permitted, she loved working in her yard grooming her flowers. She also enjoyed crafting and painting. Many in the community have some of Mrs. Faye's work in their home.

    Surviving along with her husband: Dallas of the home are two children: Selena T. Hodges (Terry) and Dean W. Toler (Cathy) all of Blounts Creek; a sister: Dorothy O'Ham Womble of Havelock; grandchildren: Carla H. Viegra (Brian) of Blounts Creek, Jonathan "Brent" Hodges (Samantha) of Blounts Creek, and Tyler Walton Toler (Kiley) of Washington; and four great grandchildren; MacKenzie Viegra, Willow Viegra, Caden Hodges, and Logan Hodges. Mrs. Faye was predeceased, along with her parents, by a brother: Charles "Doodle" O'Ham; and a sister: Louise Upton Slade; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 77, Blounts Creek, NC 27814. Please include on the subject line Faye Toler.
