    Connor Wayne Cannefax, age 11, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday February 27, 2022. The family is grateful for the loving care given to Connor and the family by the first responders and staff at both Vidant Beaufort Hospital and Vidant Medical Center.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday March 4, 2022, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. A private memorial service will be held later.

    Connor was born in Pitt County on May 12, 2010, son of Theodore Ralph Cannefax and Kelly Jo Adams Cannefax. He was currently in the sixth grade at P.S. Jones Middle School. Connor was well known and loved by many. Some of Connor's favorites were swimming, singing happy birthday, all things Christmas, and robots. He was a member of Accept & Excel and Project Unify and participated in the Special Olympics.

    Survivors include his parents, Theodore and Kelly Cannefax of the home; a sister: Madeline Cannefax of the home; maternal grandparents: Kenneth and Joetta Adams of Chocowinity; maternal great-grandmother: Shirley Paramore Murphy of Great Falls, Montana; paternal grandparents: George and Vicki Cannefax of Hampstead and Harry "Butch" Adams of Washington; aunts and uncles: Jon and Rebecca Owensby of Durham, Bryce Evans of Washington, Doug and Denise House of Wilmington, and Julie Cannefax of Chapel Hill; great-aunt and uncle: Duane and Connie Grimes of Great Falls, Montana; cousins: Sam, Dylan and Paxton Owensby of Durham, Vivian Evans of Washington, Makayla and Davis House of Wilmington, and Cameron Green of Chapel Hill. Connor also leaves behind many special family and friends. Connor was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother: Dianna Adams; and aunt: Gina Evans.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Sweet Caroline's Cafe, 209 Slatestone Drive, Washington, NC 27889.
