LANSDALE, PA     Local dad Shane O'Mera recently attended "back to school" night at his daughter Amanda's school in order to learn more about what grade she's in now.

After an initial delay where O'Mera drove to the wrong elementary school, he eventually found his way to the right location. "It seems like we just took little Amanda home from the hospital yesterday," he said. "She must be in third or fourth grade by now. I'm excited to find out!"

Shortly after arriving, he met up with his wife, who had driven to the event separately. She informed him their daughter, whose name is actually Alexandria, is in the seventh grade. "Wow, isn't that something," he replied.

After the conclusion of the classroom presentation, Alexandria's teacher Mrs. Jones took time to commend Mr. O'Mera on being so involved in his daughter's education. "We generally only see moms come to these types of events," Jones said. "It's very refreshing to see a father that takes such a keen interest in his child's education!"

O'Mera was then seen heading for the exit before his wife informed him that they had another presentation to attend for their other daughter Peyton, who is in first grade. "That would make sense," O'Mera noted. "I do vaguely recall seeing another kid hanging around the house from time to time."
