    Terry Malachi Gray, 42, of Washington NC, passed on from this life on September 10, 2022.

    A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 19, 2022 in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Terry "Mack" was a deeply beloved son, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a musician, and was happiest when creating and playing the music that came from his heart. The memory of his warm and loving spirit will remain with us forever.

    He is survived by his mother, Mary Kirk Gray, and his father, Terry W. Gray, both of Washington NC; by his beloved cousin and deepest friend, Andrew M. Gray, also originally of Washington, NC. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Worth Gray, of La Antigua, Guatemala; Edna Carol Ashe, of Chocowinity, NC; Candy Venters, of Vanceboro, NC; Al and Linda Leggett, of Washington, NC; Carolyn and Drew Singleton, of Mt. Olive, NC; John Banks, of Murrells Inlet, SC; Chester and Van Kirk, of Rocky Mount, NC; and many cousins and other relatives of his maternal family.

    Also surviving are his cousins, Jaimie Cutler Grissom, of Bath, NC; Tony Rogers Webster, of Washington, NC; Lisa Cullipher, of Elizabeth City, NC; and by his cousins Dana Collins, Pamela Butler, and Sarah Cowhig, all of Wake County, NC; Karla Summerow, of Alpharetta, GA; Lora Lynn Mueller, of Fallon, Illinois; and Gayle Thomas, of Virginia Beach, VA; and Karen Williams and Wesley Williams, both of Washington, NC.

    He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Eula P. Gray, of Elizabeth City, NC; and by his great-grandmother, Cassie Woolard Meade, of Washington NC.
