The Division of Continuing Education at Beaufort County Community College will offer two introductory computer classes that will begin this month. | Eastern North Carolina Now

    A day class, designed for the area's older residents, will be offered 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Jan 8 and ending Feb. 28 in Room 822 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus. Instructor Beth Buck will cover topics including basic computer terminology, use of a keyboard and a computer mouse and tips on computer usage including basic Internet searches and emails. The registration fee is $120. A technology fee is $5.

    A night beginning computer class will be offered 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Jan. 22 and ending March 12 in Room 822 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus. The $70 cost of the course includes a registration fee of $65 and a technology fee of $5. In this class, also designed for the area's older residents, Instructor Anthony Moore will teach students to use a keyboard and a computer mouse and other tips on computer usage including basic Internet searches and emails. The registration fee may be waived for those over 65 years old for one class per academic semester. The technology fee is charged to all students.
