This morning's update from the National Weather Service (NWS) included a slight increase in forecasted wind conditions as well as detailed flood inundation levels for Eastern NC. (Note: Beaufort County was not included in this morning's Coastal Flood Advisory).

On July 17th, 2026, members of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 38-year-old Tyshawn Laron Mann of Englehard NC for drug trafficking and other drug related offenses.
