Mrs. Carolyn "Sarabeth" Sellers Latham | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Carolyn "Sarabeth" Sellers Latham, age 85, a resident of Chocowinity and a former resident of Leland, NC died Sunday February 10, 2013 at the home of her daughter Suzanne Whichard located at 513 Bay Lake Street, Chocowinity, NC.

    A memorial service will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday February 12, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Steve Hill. A private burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery of Washington.

    Mrs. Latham was born in New Hanover County on January 22, 1928 daughter of the late Nash Mercer Sellers and the late Daisy Thetis Prevatt Sellers. She married Elmer Randolph Latham in February of 1947 who preceded her in death on April 16, 1986. Mrs. Latham was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, yard work, tending to her flower gardens and woodworking. She was a member of First Church of Christ of Washington.

    Survivors include three daughters: Randy Pittman and her husband Larry and Suzanne Latham Whichard and her husband Jimmie all of Chocowinity and Tanya Latham Hardison and her husband Tommy of Blounts Creek; two sons: Gregory Nash Latham and his wife Diane of Currie, NC and Elmer Sellers Latham of Chocowinity; one sister: Rachel Little of Cayce, SC; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Latham was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 222 Stewart Parkway Suite 100, Washington, NC 27889.
