Massive solar farms threaten environment, human health, and acquifers | Eastern North Carolina Now

Solar farms, like wind farms require a lot of land to produce power, much, much more than conventional power sources for a similar amount of power.  They also dominate the land they are placed upon and contain quite a few toxic substances.  Counties in North Carolina are given regulatory powers over wind and solar farms, but Beaufort County has only a weak solar farm ordinance and no wind farm ordinance at all.  We are largely at the mercy of the conniving developers.

In California, where the push for wind and solar started sooner and has been more intensive,  it is already becoming apparent that solar farms are devastating the environment, threatening wildlife, threatening human health, and even threatening water supplies.  Both the right and left seem to be recognizing the insanity of this. North Carolina needs to get ready for all of this, because blowing up their coal plants and using wind and solar instead has been the wet dream of "woke" electric monopoly Duke Energy for some time, and now that their pet RINOs in the legislature like Phil Berger and Jim Perry and Timmy Moore have pushed through NC's Green New Deal, HB951, we are about to have this shoved down out throats.

Germany's center-left government has recently approved expanding the area used for wind and solar power from 0.75% of Germany's land area to 1.5%.  While they are pushing laws requiring farmers to abandon some of their fields to return land to nature, they are clearcutting ancient forests to put up mostly Chinese made wind turbines and solar panels.  Local environmentalists are in court now trying to save the ancient Reinhartswald forest, the setting of the Grimm's Fairy Tales from being destroyed to put up wind turbines.  This is where North Carolina is headed with this idiot wind / solar push by the left, the woke, and the corrupt RINOs.

A recent poll found that almost 80% of Germans oppose the center-left government's "net zero CO2" agenda, but nonetheless, the government is doubling down on it.
