the blatant double standard continues - the Rule of Law is dying in America
The double standard for Democrats and Republicans in our courts and the political prosecutions of President Trump show that Rule of Law is dying in America. We have gone beyond Banana Republic territory and are now in the realm of the Stalin Show Trials.
Now, one of America's foremost Constitutional Law scholars, retired Harvard Law School Consitutional Law Professor Alan Dershowitz is pointing out that the latest political indictment of Trump, which is in Fulton County, Georgia charges him for the very same things that the Democrats did after the 2000 presidential election. No Democrats were ever indicted for that.
Dershowitz is a Democrat who supported Biden in 2020 but he has been outspoken against the political attacks on our democracy through Democrat abuse of the courts to attack President Trump.
Georgia Democrats don't even have to look far for a similar Democrat situation in their own state where Stacy Abrams did the same thing when she lost her gubenatorial race. Why was Abrams never indicted?

One of those reports came from the Special Counsel invetigating the Trump / Russia hoax and the other from the Inspector General of the Justice Department (inspector generals are independent of agency bosses). I think either of those officials, both of whom conducted ezxtensive investigations to prepare the reports, know a heck of a lot more on this subject than an internet troll,

The media has consistently misreported Trump's call to Raffensberger, claiming he ssid "find me 12,000 votes". From what I read, the Fulton County DA also misquoted his call in the same way. The actual transcript shows he said "I want to find 12,000 votes". At the time, whether Georgia would do a statewide recount was not decided, and that statement was a legitimate one in pushing for that statewide recount, which the Trump team wanted. In that context, it is not at all criminal, but in a heavily Democrat county will a jury even care about that in a political case? The rule of law is collapsing around us due to out of control politicized prosecutors.
