"The Daily Show" guest host Charlamagne Tha God begged President Joe Biden not to run for a second term, saying that it could be the "ultimate Christmas gift" to America.

During the radio personality's opening monologue on Wednesday, Charlamagne - born Lenard McKelvey - urged the president to step away from the 2024 race so he said the party can beat likely Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump.

"This is Biden's ego talking, okay," the radio host told the audience. "If you think there are other people who can beat him [Trump] step aside. I know you think you've got this in the bag ... but the polls say otherwise."

"I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him to defend me at a bar fight," he added. "I appreciate you caring, but I don't like our chances."

"The point is we don't need Biden to beat Donald Trump just like we didn't need [Ruth Bader Ginsburg] RBG to stay on the [U.S. Supreme] court. Maybe if RBG had retired during the Obama years we'd still have Roe v. Wade ... And now look, both of them are gone."

The radio host argued that Biden's "not getting any younger" or any "more popular" and said the president's also not getting a new running mate, i.e. Vice President Kamala Harris.

"So please Mr. President give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside," Charlamagne said at the end of the segment, as the comments drew loud cheers and applause from the audience.

In September, the radio personality took a swipe at Biden for his inauthentic behavior at a Black Caucus event, labeling Biden the "Donkey of The Day," as previously reported.

While most slammed Biden after the event for referring to famed rapper and actor LL Cool J as a "boy," Charlamagne said the part he found "egregious" was that the president also got the rapper's name wrong, calling him "LL J Cool J."

"LL Cool J has been White-famous for at least 35 years," Charlamagne told his listeners. "There's not too many more recognizable celebrities on the planet. It's not like Joe Biden was speaking on somebody relatively new, someone he wasn't familiar with in any way, shape, or form. It's LL Cool J."

"This is a prime example of it doesn't matter how many black people you are around, doesn't matter how many black people you have in your administration ... if it's not authentic to him, then it won't come off as authentic to anyone," he added. "Y'all keep trying to make this 197-year-old man sound cool simply because he's talking to black people, and there's nothing more uncool than someone trying too hard to be cool."
