    Mr. Danny Ray Proctor, age 56, a resident of 74 Ann St., Chocowinity, died Thursday, June 6, 2013.

    Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Sunday June 9, 2013 at New Birth Community Church, 9623 W. NC 97, Middlesex, NC 27557. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.Danny Ray Proctor Sr. was born in Rock Mount, NC on April 1,1957. He was the son of the late Jerry Mike Proctor and Adelia Pearl Proctor. Danny was known as "Mr. Dan" in his neighborhood. He Has lived in North Carolina, Colorado, High Point NC, Florida and California. He made an impact in many different places that he had traveled to. Danny loved to carve, loved to fish, and working on rebuilding cars. He was a master of all trades and did all different kinds of work. He has worked building furniture, mechanics, hydraulics, body work on cars and boats, and carpentry.

    Danny always said "He had too many Irons in the fire" and always had a project in the works.

    He was a good listener and was quick to listen and slow to give advice, because he had one policy "Don't ask if you don't want to know" He was honest and full of wisdom.

    Danny is survived by his wife, Beth Sullivan Proctor, Daughter of George E. Sullivan Sr. and Ruby Ahlefeld Warren. He has two surviving sons, Danny Ray Proctor Jr. and Talmadge Paul Williamson Jr. His daughter-in-law Laura Ferrell Proctor and grandson Toby Alexander Proctor. He is also survived by his Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cathy S. Carter and Danny Carter, and George Sullivan Jr. and Sheila Pierce Proctor. His sister Tracey Proctor, and his brother, Charles Proctor. His Cousins, Henry Proctor, Larry Proctor, and Frankie Proctor whom he was very close to. His nieces and nephews, Donald Ray Taylor Jr. and Linda Joyner Taylor, Mackenzie Melton, Brandy Taylor, Nevaeh Taylor, Teresa Taylor Carter and Lee Carter, Christopher Morgan, Jamie Carter, Susan Carter, Logan Abbott, Austin Carter, Danny Ray Taylor, Melissa and Mike Strombelline, Andrew Strombelline, Vincent Strombelline, Abby Strombelline, Melissa Griffin and rick Griffin, Caleb Griffin, Heather Griffin, Sonya Holland and her children JJ, Dee Dee, and Zya. Danny also had family that may not have been knitted together by blood but they were family just the same and these include, Nancy Pascahll, Leighanne Paschall, Haley Sawyer, Jeremiah Ewell. Danny loved each and everyone "The Most".
