    Mrs. Kathleen Boyd Jones, age 92, a resident of 1811 John Small Avenue, Washington, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at River Trace Nursing Center in Washington.

    Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, June 10, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Rev. Charles Michael Smith, Bartow Houston and Skybo Langley.

    Mrs. Jones was born in Washington on July 11, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Reginald Boyd and Sallie Bennett Boyd. Mrs. Jones was retired from Hamilton Beach in Washington. She attended Wares Chapel United Methodist when her health permitted. According to her family, Mrs. Jones was "a tremendous cook, loved to read and could sew anything".

    In 1937, Mrs. Jones married Carl Hooker Jones, who preceded her in death in April of 1995.

    Mrs. Jones is survived by her four sons, Carl Taylor Jones and wife, Catherine, Larry Lee Jones and wife, Alta, Donald Ray Jones and wife, Ann all of Washington; Lindsay Earl Jones and wife, Sandy of Wake Forest; sister, Margaret Boyd Grogan of Kansas City, Kansas; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Boyd.

    The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and at her home.
