New poll shows illegal immigration is top issue in June EU election | Eastern NC Now

most voters think EU officials not doing a good job on illegal immigration

ENCNow

Hard on the heals of a string of national elections across Europe where anti-immigration parties have performed very well, a continent-wide poll by the highly regarded IPSOS polling firm for EuroNews has found that illegal immigration or "irregular migration" as the poll termed it is a top issue among European voters in all countries.  Asked "How important is the fight against irregular migration?", 59% said it was a priority, and 29% said it was important but not a priority.  EU countries will vote in June for members of the EU parliament.
