Dr. Ben Carson is second
A new poll shows Governor Ron deSantis of Florida is the top choice of Republican voters to run as President Trump's vice president. The poll was conducted by the UK-based polling firm of YouGov among likely GOP voters for the British newsmagazine The Economist. Coming in second was Dr. Ben Carson, followed by Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas and Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina.
The only prospective running mate that had more negatives than positives in the poll was former SC Governor Nikki Haley. The poll found that 51% of Republican voters opposed her as Trump's running mate while only 36% approved.
The poll also showed that Trump had a seven point lead over Biden, 44% - 37%
