    Raleigh, NC     Governor Pat McCrory signed 28 bills today, including:

    HB 390 (Rep. Saine) State IT Governance Changes

    A bill that improves information technology contracting, security and oversight by giving the State Chief Information Officer authority to enter performance assurance agreements while making sure of vendor compliance with the state's IT security standards.

    Governor McCrory was joined by State Chief Information Officer Chris Estes, Reps. Jason Saine, Marilyn Avila, Susan Martin, and Sens. Ben Clark and Jeff Tarte for the bill signing.

    HB 664 (Reps. Hager, Moffitt, Bill Brawley and Alexander) Cell Tower Deployment Act

    A bill that facilitates the deployment of mobile broadband and other enhanced wireless communications services by streamlining the processes used by state agencies and local governments to approve the placement of wireless facilities in their jurisdictions.

    The governor was joined by Reps. Mike Hager, Tim Moffitt, Bill Brawley, Kelly Alexander and Sen. Rick Gunn. He was also joined by Vanessa Harrison, president of AT&T North Carolina and Trey Rabon, executive director of government relations at AT&T North Carolina.

    Other bills signed by the governor were: HB 60, HB 219, HB 223, HB 240, HB 248, HB 322, HB 331 , HB 332, HB 333, HB 433, HB 459, HB 587, HB 597, HB 641, HB 686, HB 817, HB 830, HB 891, SB 8, SB 25, SB 285, SB 336, SB 358, SB 461, SB 494 and SB 639.
