Former Hilliary supporter gives Trump $300,000 after show trial verdict | Eastern NC Now

Trump contribution sites are crashing due to heavy volume

Businessman Shaun Maguire was a major Hilliary Clinton supporter in 2016, and sat out the 2020 election because he did not like either candidate.  After the verdict in the Trump show trial, however, Maguire endorsed Trump and sent him a contribution of $300,000.

"In 2024, I believe this is one of the most important elections in our lifetime, and I am supporting Trump," Maguire said, "I know I will lose friends for this. Some will refuse to do business with me, The media will probably demonize me, as they have so many others before me.  But despite this, I still believe it is the right thing to do. I refuse to live in a society where people are afraid to speak."

For smaller scale contributors, the Trump campaign donation sites online are doing a brisk business, so much so that they keep crashing from all of the people trying to give.  Over $38 million has come in since the verdict.

Oh Yeah I was trying to illustrate how he sold out his own people. I don’t believe a true Jewish person would deny their heritage if persecuted.

Shows his lack of good judgment and shady intentions.

Harlan Crow, a right wing Nazi sympathizer, has been paying CT's bills for years. Illegal ? Probably not.
CT, damaged by AH to the point he apparently doesn't give a crap because he knows there is nothing anyone can do. Unfortunately for him, he will always be remembered a "long dong pubic hair" and nothing he can do will change it.
Ironic huh?

Will, you clearly are reading a sanitized version. George Soros has admitted being a Nazi collaborator. The "others" he helped were the Nazis looking for Jews. Soros has been linked with totalitarianism his entire life, being currently a kingpin of globalist totalitarianism.

Also, although he was indeed born into a Jewish family, he later became an atheist. He is profoundly anti-Israel, and the Foreign Minister of Isreal has laberled Soros "a threat to democracy". Soros now calls his mother an "anti-Zionist Jew" although there seems to be nothing to prove that.

A little bit about Soros:

Born in Hungary in 1930, he lived through the Nazi occupation of 1944–1945, which resulted in the murder of over 500,000 Hungarian Jews. His own Jewish family survived by securing false identity papers, concealing their backgrounds, and helping others do the same.

There are written ethics rules in most courts prohibiting judges from contributing to political candidates. That is true in North Carolina courts, in federal courts, and in New York courts. Juan Merchan blatantly violated that ethics rule by contributing to Biden and other Democrats. The case he was hearing had a direct bearing on the political fortunes of a candidate he had contributed to, Joe Biden. Merchan chose to ignore that ethics rule. In a fair system, he would face a proceeding to remove him as a judge and probably one to disbar him as well, but this is New York and for political reasons that will not happen.

There has been no evidence of anyone on the Supreme Court making any contributions to any political candidates. If that happened, which is hasn't, that would be a violation.

With Merchan, he also violated another specific ethics rule for judges in New York which prohibits a judge hearing a case where the judge's family member can financially gain from its result. Merchan's Democrat political consultant daughter who works for Biden-Harris had an obvious financial gain from Merchan's handling of this case.

There is absolutely no equivalancy between Merchan's violation of the ethics rules and the ridiculous attampts by the left to intimidate the Supreme Court over things that are not rules violations.

No honest man can complain about one side of the coin while ignoring the other.

Bobbie is off in far left smear la-la land. Nobody "owns" a supreme court justice.

The guy who had a massive conflict of interest was Juan Merchan, and the Democrats were fine with that because he was a political contributor to them, even though New York ethics standards said judges are not supposed to make political contributions, and Merchan's daughter was one of their political consultants.
