Young voters powered right's gains in Europe; will they do so is US? | Eastern North Carolina Now

Tump is rising in polls of young voters and minorities

ENCNow

For many decades, young voters have trended left.  Nearly a century ago, Sir Winston Churchill remarked that "if you are not a liberal at 20, you have no heart, but if you are not a conservative at 40, you have no brain."  That, however, has changed dramatically in European elections, and polls are showing the beginning signs of it happening in the US as well.

Polling of young voters for the past few years in Germany has shown the populist right Alternativ fur Deutschland as the most popular party with young voters, and the traditional conservative  CDU/CSU second. The parties of the left, the Social Democrats, Green Party, and Left Party are way down the list.  The same is true next door in France, where the populist right National Rally is the most popular party with young voters, followed by the traditional conservative Les Republicains.  Young voters also powered the right's recent landslide in Dutch national elections.

Now, polls in the US are showing significanat movement of young voters away from Biden and the Democrats and to Trump and the Republicans.  It is not yet to the extent as it is in Europe, but the wave is still building.

Concern about illegal immigration is cited as a major issue of Europe's young people turning right, and that may be part of the equation in the US.  However, the dire prospects for young people in the rotten Biden economy is probably a bigger factor.

The elections in Europe were not just a poll, but a sea change in government. Voters tossed out the climate alarmists and replaced them with people who understand the harm that climate alarmism does. And it was younger voters at the forefront of doing that.
The farmers of Europe are to be congratulated on getting the message out against what they aptly call "climate communism".

There is no "tipping point". The history of the Earth shows we have always had alternating cycles of warming and cooling periods. The last warm cycle, the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today and nothing bad resulted. Indeed, the longest and hottest warming cycle, the Holocene Maximum, waw MUCH warmer than today and for three thousand years and nothing bad resulted.

CT -Its not about the polls. Polls go up. Polls go down. Its about temps in the triple digits. As average temps rise, the tipping point will come.

For CG - I would simply say this in in a way that I hope makes sense. God gave us the earth. He also gave us free will. In our never ending pursuit of wealth and power, we humans certainly have the ability to turn this gift, the very planet that sustains us, into a steaming pile of sh*t.

What our past history would make you doubt our ability to achieve this unthinkable outcome?

The European voters have wised up and kicked out a big chunk of "green" members of the EU parliament and their liberal allies, Bolshevik Bob. They have learned the damage that is being done by what European farmers call "climate communism" They have replaced them with members of populist right parties who are not beholden to the climate cult.

Here in America, the polls are showing that almost no one cares about the climate alarmist agenda. The next TRump administration will drive a stake through the heart of that monster.

God is in control of the weather NOT man.
Job 37
5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

CT on the good side, almost nobody believes your BS. That's just fact.
On the bad side, our economy is so hooked on fossil fuels, it makes change difficult and possibly impossible. As such, some look for comfort in your arguments. Hopefully the next generation will wise up.

There will be a tipping point, but so far I don't see it.

Weather happens, Little Bobbie, and should not be politicized by the green left.

The pagan religious cult of Climate Scientology is much like the medieval church. In the medieval church, anything bad that happened was a punishment from God, but if you wanted to sin, you could buy an indulgence from the Pope. Under Climate Scientology, anything bad that happens is a punishment from Manmade Global Warming, and if you want to sin, you can buy an indulgence called a "carbon offset" from the pope of that cult, Al Gore, who has a company selling them.

That is indeed a great slogan for the winning party, but the rejection of the climate alarmist agenda in that election went much deeper than that. Having looked at all of the results, voters all over the spectrum - traditional right, populist right, and even left rejected climate alarmist policy. The populist right ANO which came in first did directly reject "green madness" as well as illegal immigratoin in its very campaign slogan. The second placed party, the governing traditional conservative Civic Democrats, had a leader in its sitting prime minister who has been very vocal against the EU Green Deal and illegal immigation. In third place was a new populist right party even more strongly opposed to both the climate alarmist agenda and illegal immigration, Prisha a Motoriste, led by a retired race car driver who vowed to arrive at his first session of the EU parliament "in a car with a large carbon footprint". While the Green Party and the center left Social Democrats got smoked, the only energy on the left was in the fourth placed party, a new coalition called Enough! that also campaigned against climate alarmism and illegal immigration. Also grabbing one of the Czech Republic's 21 seats was the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party which not only strongly opposed illegal immigation and EU green policies but also called for a referendum of Czech voters on leaving the EU entirely. All in all, a pretty solid rejection of climate alarmism.

"NO to immigration and the Green madness" was the slogan used to win the EU election in the Czech Republic by the Czech populist nationalist right ANO Party to win the EU election in the their country. It would be a great slogan for the US election.

The challenge with young voters in the US is overcoming the "woke" political indoctrination kids get in the public schools and colleges. That is why voters all over the country are throwing out the education establishment which has allowed this from their school boards and replacing them with conservatives who will put a stop to it.

Beaufort County has that challenge in November as establishment hack "dead wood" incumbents T. W. Allen, Mack Hodges, and Eltha Booth need to be replaced
