    Inez Warren Johnson, age 86, a resident of Washington, NC died Friday August 30, 2024 at Ridgewood Manor in Washington.

    The family will receive friends Wednesday September 4, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Mrs. Johnson was born in Beaufort County on September 26, 1937 to the late Henry Edward Warren and Lida Woolard. She was a graduate of Washington High School and she also graduated from Beaufort County Community College with a certificate in Cosmetology. In December of 1975 she married Nelson Curtis Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a woman who loved jokes, a good time and to socialize.

    Survivors include her daughter Carol C. Willard and husband Samuel of Washington, one grandchild, Shawn Jackson, one great grandchild, Emily Jackson, and two sisters, Pasty W. Boyd and husband Rufus, and Darlaine W. Cieszko and husband Malcolm both of Washington.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Curtis Johnson, one daughter, Zelma C. Samos, three brothers, Joseph Warren, John Henry Warren, Wiley Wilson Warren, one sister, Lilian Smith, and her faithful fur companion Benji.

    The family would like to extend a special thanks to Elizabeth Sweatland for all her kindness, care, and faithful dedication to Mrs. Johnson.
