    Lloyd Allen Hetzel, age 74, a resident of Washington, died, Thursday September 12, 2024, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Lloyd was born on August 22, 1950, in Montgomery County, PA to the late Rollins Frederick Hetzel, Sr. and Blanche Marjorie Lilley. He was a graduate of William Tennent High School in Warminster, PA, and a US Navy veteran. On April 8, 1972, he married Anne Marie Henry who survives. Lloyd retired in 2012 as a mechanic with McMurray Fabrics in Jamesville, NC. He loved flowers and working in his yard, hunting, fishing, and going to the beach. Lloyd was an avid reader, he loved animals, his family and especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson Phillip Allen Stovall.

    Survivors include his wife, Anne Marie Henry Hetzel of the home, daughters, Kimberly Lisa Cote (Christopher) of Pinetown and Heather Lynne Stovall of Kenly, brother, Rollins Frederick Hetzel, Jr. (Jean) of The Villages, FL, sister, Deborah Lynne Copp (James) of Comar, PA, grandchildren, Ellyn Marie Gignilliat, Mallory Lynne Ebner and Angelina Lloyd Cote, great grandchildren, Robert Gignilliat V, Archer Gignilliat and Gianna Ebner.
