    Catherine June "G.G." Morris Clary, age 97, passed away on October 24, 2024, in Chocowinity, North Carolina. Born on January 23, 1927. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Henry Tilden Clary. Catherine was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother along with many years to her Lawrenceville community as an employee in several schools of the Brunswick County School Board in Lawrenceville, Virginia.

    Catherine was also preceded in death by her parents, James Nelson Morris and Carrie Virginia Morris, one brother, James Halton Morris, and two sisters, Virginia Madeline Ragland, and Carrie Lucille Campbell.

    She is survived by a loving family; daughter, Caren Clary Wilcher; husband Roger Wayne; granddaughter Joy Wilcher Stallings and (husband Chase); great-granddaughters Lauren Patrick Hodges (husband Brian) and Catherine Hope Stallings; great-grandson Hundley Chase Stallings; and great-great-grandchildren Patrick James Hodges and Allie Gray Hodges, and many nieces and nephews.

    A woman of Christian faith, Catherine was an active member of several Baptist churches throughout her life, the latest being First Baptist Church in Washington, NC where she enjoyed being part of the Ruth/Unity Sunday School Class. Catherine was known for her love of sewing, cooking, and baking, skills that brought joy to many gatherings and filled her home with warmth.

    The family wishes to acknowledge Deborah Roebuck, Catherine's faithful caregiver who has become part of the family, 3HC Home Health Care, and many others who sat with her, and provided support.

    The family will hold a graveside service later in Roseland, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Catherine may be made to First Baptist Church, 113 North Harvey Street, Washington, NC 27889 or Home Health and Hospice Care, c/o Philanthropy Dept., 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534-9935.
