Democrat NY state senator calls for 4 states to secede and join Canada | Eastern NC Now

Trump Derangement Syndrome is endemic among Democrat politicians, it seems.

New York Democrat State Senator Liz Krueger, chairwoman of the Senate Finance Committee, who recently called for New York to secede and join Canada, has now expanded her call and wants four states, New York, Vermont, Connecticutt, and Massachusetts to secede from the United States and join Canada.  This is all about hysterical opposition to Donald Trump.

There is some precedent for secession support in this region.  In the War of 1812, anti-war activists in Vermont, Connecticut, and Massachusetts called for secession of those states, along with Rhode Island, and New Hampshire from the United States.  In 1861, the mayor of New York City called for the city to secede from both New York state and from the United States.

Perhaps Canada and  the US could do a trade.  In western Canada, there is a WEXIT (western exit) movement in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia to leave Canada in reaction to the deplorable Trudeau government.  We would come out ahead to give Canada those four states in trade for the four western Canadian provinces.
