School Year to Begin with Administrators in Place

Micki Warren
    Micki Warren, who taught in Beaufort County from 1993 to 2006, has rejoined the district as principal of Chocowinity Middle School. She has been assistant principal at Farmville Middle School since 2010. Warren takes the reins at Chocowinity Middle School after Dale Cole moved to the principal position at Southside High School. She joins Crystal Dixon who is the assistant principal.

    "It means a great deal to be a system that employees want to come back to," explained Dr.Don Phipps, Superintendent of Beaufort County Schools. "We are delighted to have Micki back and look forward to a tremendous year for this school."

    Tracey Boyles, who was a part of the Assistant Principal Team at Washington High School last year, has moved east to Northeast Elementary School. She joins new principal Mark Clinkscales. Prior to coming to Beaufort County, Boyles served as Dean of Academic Services for Hyde County Schools and taught 7th and 8th grade in Hyde County.

    Ted Melton, who was assigned to John Small Elementary School, has taken on Boyles' prior position as Assistant Principal at Washington High School. Melton joined the system in 2010 from Washington County.

Fannie Willis
    Fannie Willis, how joined Beaufort County School in 1982 as a Teacher's Assistant, has been named the new Assistant Principal at John Small Elementary School. Willis has been teaching in the Washington attendance area since 1989 and joined John Small Elementary School as a teacher in 1990.

    "We want the community to great pride and comfort in knowing there is such a talented pool of up and coming administrators already on the e Beaufort County School steam," said Phipps. "We will always foster an environment where ambitious teachers are supported if they want to take an administrative route."
