Ellis Glenn Cutrell | Eastern NC Now

    Ellis Glenn Cutrell, age 68, a resident of Greenville, and formerly of Belhaven, died Friday, February 14, 2025, at his residence.

    *Due to continual rain, the graveside service has been moved to the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven.

    A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Belhaven Community Cemetery, with Danny Daniels officiating.

    Ellis was born on December 20, 1956, in Beaufort County to the late John B. Cutrell, Sr. and Lovie Lucile Wilkins Cutrell. He attended John A. Wilkinson High School, graduating in 1975. Ellis worked for J.D. Dawson's in Greenville and Washington Jewelers, where he learned the jewelry repair trade, and later owned and operated The Jewelry Doctor in Greenville for 33 years. He loved to do yard work, painting and drawing and designing jewelry. Ellis was a member of Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church.

    Survivors include his wife, Margaret Fox Cutrell of the home, stepsons, Pete Miller, Jr. of Morehead City and Matthew Miller of Beaufort, brother, Johnny Cutrell (Jill) of Beaufort, sister, Christy Cutrell Ferguson (Troy) of Matthews, nephews, Robert Cutrell, Andrew Cutrell, John Troy Ferguson, David Ferguson (Lindsay) and Mark Baker, a niece, Jennifer Baker-Pitts, and Ben Daniels who was a cousin, a best friend and a brother to Mr. Cutrell.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 1003 Red Banks Rd Ste B, Greenville, NC 27858.
